High Schol Student Government
Student Government at Horizon Christian High School is an important part of school life. It is an opportunity for students to have a voice in school activities, programs, and management. Nominated by their peers, our Student Body Officers take on many important roles in the school.
Horizon Student Council consists of the Associated Student Body (ASB) officers. They are President, Vice President, Treasurer, Activities Coordinator, Publicist, and Club Coordinator. These officers are voted for in April/May of the preceding school year. Joining them will be one class president for each of the four grades. These offices will be voted on in the fall of each school year. Our elections are done according to Christian Standards so as to develop social and spiritual growth in each student’s life.
ASB officers and class presidents have the opportunity to be involved in back to school activities, annual retreats, homecoming, social events, Color Wars and more.
Our Student Government has created a school constitution. Class representatives combine with our Student Government to bring forward ideas to create positive change in the school. Utilizing parliamentary procedures, the meetings are the students' voice to the administration.
