6th Grade Outdoor School

Each April, students join their 6th grade teachers for a four day, three night outdoor school week at the beach. Days are filled with hands on science learning, engaging enrichment activities like archery, mini-golf, and canoeing and opportunities to enjoy team games, campfires and night hikes with friends.

7th Grade Group Adventures

Our seventh graders enjoy two unique outings each year designed to challenge them individually and encourage them to explore what for most is a new activity. In the winter, students spend a day snow shoeing on Mt. Hood. In the spring they navigate Portland’s 4T trail in small groups accompanied by a parent chaperone as they complete a number of iSmart specific tasks.
